Based in Tahiti, French Polynesia, the company took off in 2003 selling energy efficiency equipment and accessories, and naturally expanding into renewable energy, including solar and wind, with a particular bias towards off-grid energy utility due to the need for reliable energy sources in places where a reliable standard grid cannot be established.

 

The company has used a range of products over the years, and has over time consolidated its selection to offer only the best to ensure reliability and ease of use and site inception. Using world-renowned brands such as SMA Solar Technology, Kyocera, Schletter and Sunda, our installations are guaranteed to last and perform the way they should.

 

Our company has been installing off-grid systems since 2006 in distant atolls and islands in French Polynesia for individual homes and villages. In 2010, feed-in tariffs were introduced for grid-connected systems on the main island of Tahiti, which made solar more popular for grid-connected systems. At the time, our credentials were already recognised by end-users from various private and tendered renewable energy projects.

 

To date, Technopro services and manages 5 out of 7 existing solar power plants that feed villages in distant atolls of French Polynesia, in addition to the dozens of small to medium-scale stand-alone systems, and large commercial grid-tied projects spread across Tahiti and the many archipelagoes in the country.
